What is Regenexx?
Regenexx is an elective orthopedic surgery alternative for self-funded employers. Our goal is surgery avoidance, musculoskeletal costs are in the top three spending categories for most employers, running approximately 15 to 20% of the health plan spending with elective orthopedic surgeries representing more than 50% of that spending. We can intervene on up to 70% of elective orthopedic surgeries, reducing the musculoskeletal cost by up to 70%, also reducing employee downtime, rehab and opioid use. We fit in after conservative therapies have been used and are no longer helpful and before surgery. Regenexx is a national network of physicians that can treat the entire musculoskeletal system from head to toe. Regenexx has been performing these treatments since 2005 with registry data approaching a hundred thousand patients and 43 peer reviewed papers.
How is Regenexx different?
We use a needle based approach using the patient's own cells derived from blood platelets, or sometimes known as platelet-rich plasma and their own bone marrow concentrate to replace invasive and expensive orthopedic surgeries. So naturally, it's less invasive with lower risk to the patients making return to work and recovery, days, not weeks or months. Our national network of physicians are all musculoskeletal specialists trained in the precise delivery of these cells to arthritic joints or injured tissues using image guided video x-ray, or fluoroscopy and ultrasound. Regenexx can easily be adopted into a self-funded plan at any time throughout the year and is administered by more than a hundred TPAs and covered under the stop loss. There's no cost to add Regenexx to the health plan, and our services come with a national transparent fee schedule and no facility fees.
